My new project is a 1937 Buick. I have heard that there was a company making new stainless running boards, does anyone know who the manufacturer might be?

No, do not know about that. However, Stooge here on the HAMB is in mid project on a '37 Buick and made his own running boards. He do***ented their construction with lots of photos and explanation... should be easy to find his thread either by browsing or using the search feature for Stooge or '37 Buick.

I had my running boards and boot s****ers for my 46 Olds reproduced by Runningboardrubber. They've done a 36 Buick before

I'm very happy with the finished products. There is also this business.

Here i am! I forget what page it's on, but the running board project is over the course of a few pages in the thread in my signature. Let me know if you have any questions about it

I've never seen any stainless steel running boards being manufactured, but i have seen a few mild steel, universal fit ones being sold that list fitting a '37 buick but they seemed to need modification to the sheet metal and did not include any sort of mounting or reinforcement for being actually used or stood one.

I think the stainless trim on the sides may be reproduced

Do you have a name for that source? I have my running boards and they are solid but need new rubber and stainless trim. Steele Rubber sells the rubber but it needs a splice and you have to glue it on somehow. Bob's Automobilia also carries that same product.

Since I made my own running boards and im not sure the stock stainless trim would fit, (nevermind that I don't have it) I was probably going to go this route and have them make some new strips for the side of the boards and get the sheet of corrugated rubber from Bob's as well. Someone on the prewar buick aaca forum had his running boards sent off to a place in Canada, (he's in the states) to have them completely refurbished as well as new rubber vulcanized to it, but I didn't ask who the vendor was as it was a safe ***umption of being out of my price range, though they did come out beautifully though. I believe he re-used his stainless trim and just polished it up.

*Edit- saw you were in Canada, and also saw that he did post where he had them redone, The running board rubber company in McBride, Canada

Northfield Forming, 468 Etheridge Blvd., C**** Fulton, OH 44614. It appears they can make them. One post I found about them says they make the trim. Another states they make mats. Just looked at their site mats only.
