Need some advice on front leaf springs for my 37 Chevy 2dr sedan. I’ve installed a Nova rear axle with Ch***is Engineering springs, shocks, and sway bar. For the front, I’m going with a dropped tube axle and ’54 Chevy spindles and brakes. I using the Ch***is Engineering shock and sway bar kit for the front but I’m not sure what to do for springs? I’ve considered using the stock front springs and maybe removing a couple of leafs on each side. I’m trying to get the front pretty low with good ride and handling.

I none of the vendors seem to advertise new springs for this setup but I see that Posies makes Dual-Flex front springs to lower 48-52 Ford trucks 3” that are the same width and length (1-3/4” x 36”). The engine will be a GMC 302 which I believe is a little heavier that a SBC.

    Thoughts…any other options?

I ran the same setup on my 37 coupe. I removed the 2nd and 3rd shortest leaves, Cross steer Vega box and 54 front drums.
It sat really nice but not slammed and drove and rode good.
I tried removing a third leaf but the spring started to arc the other way.
I would post pics but I am at work.

drop axle with stock springs will work fine. speedway makes one.

That is unless you have the Knee action.
