Features 1937 to 1942 Willys Picture Thread

Think that's one of Mark Benjamin's cars.....maybe the one he did for his son.

 

THAT CAR WAS BUILT HERE IN NEW ORLEANS BUY A FREIND OF MINE RONNIE... SOLD IT TO INVEST IN HIS BUSINESS OF BUILDING WILLYS ... HARD TO LET IT GO BUT IT REALLY PAID OFF FOR HIM...

 

CAR WAS PURCHASED OUT OF ALABAMA I BELEIVE IN THE EARLY 90,S BLACK WITH A 440 IN IT. TOOK IT TO A CRUZE NITE EVERYONE TOLD HIM TO GET ON IT. THE THROTTLE STUCK WIDE OPEN ON HIGHWAY 90 ...WAS ALMOST A REAL BAD SCENE.... AFTER THAT HEY TOOK IT APART PAINTED IT AQUA , HEMI AND SO ON BEFORE THE GASSER PRICES GOT CRAZY... THEN SOLD IT AND THE NEW OWNER HAD HIM DO A COUPLE THINGS TO IT AND IT LANDED THE MAG. COVER.. GAVE HIM SOME REAL EXPOSER

This "old gal" looks like she has had an interesting life & could tell us many fascinating stories

She has traveled a lot of miles over the years .... 1/4 mile at a time !!!!

Too bad they can't talk. Ahhhhh .... the stories we would hear.

Is this Willys is hiding somewhere????? (Groach Brothers Speed Shop)

Heard it was in Ohio a few years ago somewhere (Youngstown/Poland area) and then later at Canfield swap meet for sale. Then nothing???? One of the few NICE "chopped" Willys coupes I have seen.

This coupe has the only other pair of magnesium kidney beans ive seen like mine with the valve stems on the inside. I was told mine are from a 50's sprint car. Valve stems moved to the inside because of mud hitting the stems and damaging them, just what I have been told.
