Thank you, my family has quite a few pics, and have come across several more over time.

I just got this photo of my dad's old gasser in the mail yesterday. The son of a guy my dad raced with back in the 60's brought it by my mom's house. The son was a year ahead of me in high school but I have not seen him in probably 20 years. As you can see from the photo it was taken in June of 1963 likely at MoKan.

This is the car today, still living in Joplin.

Glad to see that Chuck bought the car for a song and restored It.

Just thought I'd post this page shot from Hot Rod mag. It has the results from the '61 Winternationals. If you will also notice my Grandpa, Floyd Grist, also won in A/G in the inaugural Winternationals. ImageUploadedByTJJ1360768839.165661.jpg

My buddy Mike H. steel coupe. He and I called and e-mailed each other almost everyday looking for a couple real Willys Coupes back in the 90's. Mike found this one before I scored my first. Back when 20 grand was a ton to spend on one, Mike still has this one.

Looking for info. Last owned by Ashmore from San Angelo, TX. He raced it for about 10 years. The previous owner raced it for 20 years! I should come up with the name soon for the Willys.

I posted this awhile back, Just wanted to see if anyone remembers Joe Padula and the gang from New England - Charlestown Dragway (the airstrip) or Connecticut Dragway, that's where they mostly ran the car. Around 1965 ish.

Probably too many pixels in each picture file. (The file size number) Couldn't begin to tell you how to change that, except when you scan you can change setting to lower number.

Here's one of Pork under the wheel of our car at Indy on his 45th anniversary of winning the nationals[IMG]

  26. We were at the Hot Rod Reunion when it went to Columbus, Ohio, and you just can't imagine the smile that was on Pork's face as he came thru the tunnel onto the starting line. WOW !!!

    John,
That was great. He was so surprised when we told him that he was going to be the one in the car. He had the picture of Charlie right next to him in the passengers seat.

This is a picture of Pork at Columbus with the car. Waving to his fans. We miss him horribly.[IMG]
