That would be "Paddack" as in Norm who built and raced gassers for many years. The hauler looks as if it may have been the start of Norm's wrecker business which is still in existence in Westfield, Indiana. Norm passed away in December of 2016.

LB do you know anything about this photo? It looks like the hotel in Lake George NY we stayed at during the old NESRO Rod Runs in the 70's. The cars look somewhat familiar also.

Anybody else know? That Willys should be recognizable, and what I think is the back of a 32 Ford roadster with home made fenders. I think it's 68-72 era with that Corvette behind the Willys passenger fender and the narrow white walls.

This is one of those Willys that when for sale claim to have the 'best of everything" "no expense spared" well that may be true but that hood holding pole didn't cost any more than $5. where as 2 gas cylinders may cost $200. installed with appropriate bracketry. How does one open hood and install pole using only one hand. That being said this is a beautiful truck that is deserving of the best stuff and Halibrands on the front. This is just my opinion and remember "everyone has one"

A broom handle is pretty appropriate for the style of the build. -EM

That would be "Bogan" (no R ) and this is his second Ford powered Willys gasser. The first had a 427 Ford wedge purchased from Phil Bonner and was raced until 1966. This one has headers by Gene Cromer of "Moonlighter" fame and this photo was originally posted in this thread back in 2014.

That would be Wilson Racing Cams (as in Dempsey). The car is the Grist brothers entry with Ben Ryan, Floyd Grist and his son Eddy. Read all about it here: http://www.gristbrosracing.com/

A few from the Blue Suede Cruise at Norwalk this past weekend. I will start with the ones that look totally period correct but also run some that are just a little off the mark, wheel wise.

This is one of the nicest Willys that I have ever seen. A "Tupperware" body but visually perfect with the correct stance, wheels, bumper/push bar etc. Not only did it win one of the show awards but it also won on the strip against some stout opposition.

Don Moyer and Gasser Magazine were the ones behind the nostalgia gasser portion of the race

And here are what I consider to be the marginal ones--nice cars but out of era wheels
