1939 Model 48 Two Door - basically a carry over of the 1938 Model 38 - still with 4 bolt wheels, mechanical brakes, 48 hp and round nose styling....

Love your factory pictures...I visited the factory about 15 years ago, and they don't have that many pictures posted. In fact very little on the cars we love so much.
I have run across '39's with Willys-Overland on the hoods, and some with just Overland...ever come across that? Also, on your 42 coupe picture, a bit narrower running board was standard according to my factory literature, and and option in '41. Don't know if 40's had a running board option, but I have seen the flat back trunk lid on them. Keep those pictures coming.

Few pics of my two trucks, 41 is a daily beater I built to drive all the time. I pulled it out today and used it to pick my boy up from Kindergarden. The 38 is a old all original barn find with 73k miles on it. Planning on getting it driving with it's original engine for now. Hope you all like the pictures.

    Mullins,
Both pickups are nice but that little 38 is so sweet i can't stand it. That front end has always been my favorite. What a lucky little boy you have to be picked up at school in a willys.

  17. Weasel,
There is another neat picture out there of a Municipality that bought a fleet of early Willys coupes (35-36), including a couple of sedan deliveries for their city fleet. They were lined up in the same way in front of city hall. If you have that one, post it on the 33-36 thread.

Stock 440 and 442 coupes - note the 1940 coupe (background) has the coupe specific accessory wind wings. The 1940 sedan wind wings do not interchange with the coupe. The 1942 coupe has the rounded front bumper grille divider and center bumper mounted grille guard....

I have seen that one but do not have it sadly - yes there were a couple of Panel Deliveries and the photo dates from 1936.
