That video is done by Jim Amos of Beeonvideo. He's a friend of mine that lives near me in here in Florida. He's a great guy with a vast collection of old drag videos for sale. He's also on the Sam Auxier Jr drag online radio shows on monday nights as a drag racing historian. You guys should check out his videos and support a great guy keeping the vintage drag racing history alive. Most of his videos have the sound dubbed in, as they are from super 8 film, but he does a great job.

  6. What can I say other than this thread is about my favorite body style the '37 - '42 Willys. As it would take a whole lot to part with my '35 Dodge coupe since it was my Dad's pride and joy, I'd definitely consider trading it for an old gasser style Willys any day. Great thread I am definitely a subscriber, keep it coming with the pics. I'd post some vintage ones of my own but I cannot get my scanner online with my new CPU.

Jim Hathaway's all steel 1938 with 5" extended cab and it looks as if it came from the factory that way - a beautiful Willys....

  11. Weasel, I have heard over many years from long time Willys people like Ron Ladley, and the late Wayne Artega, that pickups never came from the factory with the '39 sleepy eye front clip. Only the 37-38 style went on the pickups, including the model 48 style, and that any '39 clips on pickups were added by the owners. What have you heard regarding that? After 1939, pickups retained the same front clip as the rest of that year's line.

I just came across this thread fartin around on the internet. Figured I would add to this and post some picks of mine and my dad's '41 Willys Pickup. It is powered by a 572 c.i. Mopar, it has a Keith Black block and B1 heads. Has run a best E.T. of 7.84..

Yes I had heard the same about the US pickups from Ron Ladley. Look at the windshield and the way it is sloped backwards. This is an Aussie body, although the Holden's bodied pickups were utes with the integrated bed and the split oval rear window. This one looks like a mongrel made up from parts, and this is a recent photo....

You Willys guys run out of gas? I've posted some more stuff from my archives on the 1933-1936 Willys picture thread for those of you cross referencing. So time to even out with a few here - sorry if there are reposts - I have been digging through my archives on CD and may be duplicating some....

First off 1937 Mitchell bodied Aussie ute. Mitchell utes used US pickup doors - Holdens did not....
