Features 1937 to 1942 Willys Picture Thread

My old 1940 Willys Deluxe Sedan, shame it got cut up for parts not by me!

 

My current Willys, old drag car from Arizona. All steel, Halibrands and a blown 392 Hemi. This is what it looked like when I bought it. It has since been completely blown apart and rebuilt. Very close to running again. Last ran in the 70's.

 

He was asking 45 grand and that was in 2003 or 2004. He called me after I got back home and told me 40 cash but I had just bought my current black coupe so I had to pass. I bought my black coupe within days of this car being offered to me. The asking price on my black coupe was also 45 grand. Strong money at the time, but as today good ones are hard to find.

 

The guy I bought my black coupe from also had this one in his garage. It was posted earlier in this thread as its a old gasser from Texas with race history. Its for sale if he still has it. He was asking 65 grand when I last talked to him two years ago.

Love this car so much... It's what made me decide I had to build a Willys gasser (Stay tuned for that!)
