A STEEL coupe!

 

Charlie Stephens 42 sedan, Pumpkin Run 2011

 

Steel 41 also from the Pumpkin Run 2011. They made a die cast toy of this one.

 

The original Hot Rod Willys. This car has been just like this since the early 70's and has a 440 max wedge 4 speed. Long before the movie Hot Rod came out. A local Ohio gasser, one of my close freinds who also has a couple more Willys.

The Original Hot Rod Willys, loved that car since I was a child. Remembered that movie & searched for for years. Got the movie, now need to get the car!!

 

Want to be clear, this car is not from the movie but an original old hot rod built long before the movie. It should have been in the movie as it kicks ass!

This was my dads Willy's he/my mom sold it to put food on the table while he was away in the army. Does anyone recognize it? When my dad had the car it was in the Terre Haute, Indiana area and stayed in the area when it sold. This would have been roughly mid to late 70's. I played in the car when I was little and can honestly say that this car had the single most influence on my taste in cars. I was always curious if anyone knew where it went. I am sure that it has long since been repainted. It was all steel except for the fenders and tilt front end. Had an econoline Ford front axle, olds rearend and that is all I know from memory. When it sold it didn't have a motor in it. When my dad raced the car it had a BBC in it.

 

Damn that is a cool Willys. Sorry, I don't have any info on it.

I wish more people would build them just like this.
