Outstanding car! Do you know anything about that paint? It looks like it has that marbled "bowling ball" effect. I've always been interested in that kind of paint effects.

  9. I still live in Maryland, in Harford County. When I lived in New York, we lived in Suffolk County on Long Island.

  10. My dad had told me about the paint when I was younger. It wasn't marbled, although that picture looks like it. It was a candy blue that was done in the mid-late 60's. He told me it looked like the metallic base wasn't evenly mixed, but it made it look kinda cool. My dad still thinks that car was one of the most beautiful Willys.

Cool! The reason I asked was because I grew up in D.C. until I was 18.
I remember seeing a lot of cars when I was a kid but not this one.

Well, I have been working on my old coupe for 8 years, got it running and drove it for the first time in 40 years. Its an old race car from Arizona. Tonight we shot a video of me warming it up in the garage checking the cooling system. Still need some more tuning but running good. Here is the link, enjoy!

Beautiful car Dave. Sounds great too. What rear tires are you running there? Last time I saw it, you had 12.00-16 M&H's on it. Those look like piecrust slicks.

    Mark-

Thanks, I got a pair of Radir 12.00 x 16 slicks to run on the street. They are 32" dia. and 12.25 wide mounted on 16 x 11 Halibrands that came off Big John Mazmanian's Willys.

glad to see the progress, Dave.

that old clapped out hotrod behind the Willys looks to be in your way. Let me know if you wish me to take it off your hands. Scrap is bringing good money these days, so I suppose you will want quite a bit for it.

Dave, I'm generally not a fan of cowl's, carburetors or perfect black paint, but your car is totally bad ass. Very classy.
