  3. old willys dealership in parsons west va. I took this picture 20 years ago when I removed the 42" porcelain willys sign from the office wall. The lady I bought it from said she remembered when her grandfather hung it.

How about a picture of your sign.

  5. The first picture is the one that came out of the dealership and when we took it down you could see where they painted the wall half a dozen times. Also here are some other signs I have collected.

Anybody get a shot of the 41? Ute that was at Back to the 50's? I have a 40 FORD coupe, and I was cruising with my 9 year old son, and he thought that ute was one of the coolest cars of the weekend. "Dad there's a coupe like ours, only with a back like pickup"

  23. Here is a picture I took in 1997 at southern md. rod run. I remember this guy telling me he ran this car in c/gas turned into a streetrod.Car named Mr. C It would have ran Aquasco, Mir ,Cecil co. Capital ??? think if my memory is right they are getting recognized as the oldest streetrodders. Anyone recognize them or where the car might be.

Thanks for the correction g-Willys. I didn't think I was right but I took a stab at it haha It must have been you telling my grandpa it had a TPI in it at BTT50's.

I believe the Mr C car was from Oregon. As a kid i used to see them every year at the NSRA nats. I believe their last name was Coleman. I will have to do some research when i get back from Goodguys Des Moines. I remember they were planning on attending the St Louis event in 99. They didn't make, it and i have not seen the car in years.

not disagreeing with you its been awhile but I think they were from southern md. I just dug that picture out and was taking it to a nostalgia race at MIR this weekend. A buddy of mine ran all those tracks was going to ask him. But you could be right. No matter what it would be nice to know its story

Another picture of Shwartz auto parts A.K.A. Shwartz willys studebaker and pontiac dealership parsons w. va.

    Willys41,
According to the 90-91 Mid -America Willys Club Directory. Ron and Fran Coleman "Mr C"
1940 Coupe from Gold Hill Oregon. They were also spotted that year at the Willys Reunion at the Nats. in Oklahoma City issue number 19. If I remember correctly they would take off in the Willys for a month and hit a load of shows including the Nats. I need to get some sleep heading out very early in the morning for Good Guys. Not trying to prove a point I too would love to find out what happened to a very influential
Willys of my youth and it might help knowing what area the car came from. Stuwillys

No your right after starring at the picture last night trying to read the plate the wife jogged my memory. They were traveling and we believe was pulling a mullins trailer.Did that car have a unpolished blown small block?? I found a couple of other pictures of the car but not sure where they were taken. But one thing we both remember was they were a very nice couple.Folks like the Colemans are what made street rodding what it is today. Thanks for the info. Boxes of willys pictures and to many dying brain cells
