Yep, I have the America flag in front of my house 24/7, take it down in the rain.

Our friend Butch won this show in Pleasant Hill, Ca. with his 1928 Willys,
Olds powered with 6 twos.

 

No more "new style" wheels so I'll try to show some of my old, old shots or no side shots.

My friend Tim's 56 Ford pickup, he did all the sheet metal work on my coupe, flooring, trunk, my "not so secret" secret compartment.
I believe Halibrand wheels are OK to post.
This is at our Friday Night Gatherings when Tim lived right down the street, he has since moved.
Nice truck!

 

Last night on Bitchin' Rides they were at a huge car show [1500 vehicles] at Lake George New York.
Filmed in 2021.

OK, back to Willys.
I took these shots at the Willys Round Up in Pleasanton [Ca.] in 1995

 

I had planned on getting the car "lettered" but changed my mind, just leaving it alone.

 

I was at friend's shop [local] and he has quite a stash of cars and parts.

 

holy cow-the elephant graveyard(no,not hemi-or maybe?)

 

No Hemis all Chevrolet engines with a variety of cars.
I tried my best [$] to buy his dragster on the wall, no go, bummer.

 

Thought it would be a kick just to go to the store and back in a dragster ,
it's only three blocks away.
Here's couple of front engine dragsters at my fabricator's [home] shop.
Looks like I'll have to be satisfied with the last picture...

My sister and her family came down from El Dorado Hills [Ca.] and paid us a visit today, my 9 year great nephew Brayden got his first ride in the hot rod.
He loved it..see attached.

Searching for rear wheel wells I found one pair in Arizona and another pair in Ca.
Had to make one good pair out of them.
My friend Tim [56 Ford pickup] did the sheet metal work for me, blended the two pair;
then the flooring, etc.

 

Spending a few days with Louie Force.

He sounds just like his brother John.
He's friends with our friend Bill Brimmer.
Louie introduced us to his buddies at the nostalgia drags.
He really liked our Willys [in 2007 Bakersfield] attached;
been in touch since.

5] Dale Armstrong, winner of 12 NHRA events in alcohol dragster, altereds and Funny
Cars throughout the '70s. Not to mention Crew Chief of Kenny Bernstein's first dragster
to hit 300 mph.
6] Fred "Waterbed" Miller [don't ask], Crew Chief of the Blue Max Funny Car.
7] "Lil" John Lombardo, Funny Car driver.

427 sleeper and mohr hp, yes, Diesel Louie is a wild man!
He's got some cool buddies too.

 

The man is a lunatic just like his brother, but they're the nicest, most genuine good people you could ever want to meet!

 

I'll say, a wild bunch but down to earth and easy to talk to.
