Projects 1938/41 Willys build shots

Sorry I messed ya up, different time frame.
I merely had the blower seals replaced.
Years ago I brought the engine up to Sebastopol to my fabricator's [home] shop
to install it after the mock up engine was removed.

 

If I'm showing repeats please hammer me...

I took this shot of the late Steve Castelli's car doing a burn out, I just don't remember what track it was.

When I got my new plates

 

We had called a burger run yesterday so a group of friends met here at the house.
Didn't expect this red 40 Willys coupe to show up, it's fresh out of the shop, maiden voyage.
Then our friend Ken showed up with his blue Willys coupe.
So we had THREE steel Willys coupes in front of the house yesterday.
Then we all drove over to the next town [Concord] and went to a restaurant.
Pretty good "Willys Day!"

 

Here's a 38 body with 41 rear fenders, note gas tank opening.

I had the coupe at the Goodguys in Pleasanton in 2006 and got to talk with Jeff, the guy's son
who I bought the car from.
He was shocked to see it together.

No way I'm hitting the like button on those dirt track Willys! Oh, the humanity!

 

Hopefully they've all been rescued and turned into Gassers!

The late Steve Castelli had invited the wife and I to his Annual New Years Day Party
at his house in Windsor, Ca.
We attended many of these parties, year after year.
Lots of shots if interested.
