I have a 35 and so things might be different but my opening mechanism has two screws that go into the windshield frame. But they are a pain to get to them. My top is chopped and if i remember correctly it was eaiser to remove the dash to get at the mechanism mount screws.

  3. I have a '38 Ford pickup. The windshield regulator arms attach to the windshield frame with two 10-32 screws on each side. Open the windshield out all the way and you should see them. No need to take the regulator mechanism apart. The screws that hold the windshield frame together are also 10-32, and they are held in by rust and tradition.

Thanks guys I saw the tiny screws but figured they would be a bitch to get out. I'll take another look tonight armed with paint stripper and a heat gun. :D
