COE 1939 / 1940 CHEVY COE projects, are there any out there?

Discussion in 'Off Topic Hot Rods & Customs' started by oldschoolantiqueauto, Jun 6, 2012.

  1. I am just getting started on my 39 Chevy COE project. It would be nice to have other people to chat with. Get ideas & maybe swap parts that I am not using & find a few parts that I need. Mostly share ideas & problems that we are facing?
My 39 was a 107" wheel base tow truck. The cab & bed are now off the frame & now I am looking for the wright donner frame/running gear. I want to hot rod it & with air bags, slam it to the ground.

Great looking truck. Would be great to see it slamed with the tow truck bed

  3. Sounds like we think the same... I am still looking for a rolling frame to set the cab & bed on. I plan on air bagging it & making the cab a tilt cab. Like all my cars/trucks, it will be sporting a visor, spotlights & fog lights.. What's a lowrider with out all the doodads hanging off the cab, LOL. But it's all in the future. I should have my 39 two door sedan back on the road in a few weeks, than I can spend more time on the stub nose...
