Here's a fairly recent pic of my 40 with in-progress changes to front fenders.

ok, so maybe I should have moved the scoot out of the way before taking the photo.

This car, without a doubt, is the baddest '40 chevy ever built.

I can't get enough of it. When I saw it at Billetproof last year I just stared at it. The level of craftsmanship and detail is mind boggling.

  15. Here's some magazine scans (Dec. 1974 Street Rodder) of my Dads. He bought it in 1957, and still owns it. It's still the same as when it was featured in the mag. Painted black Nitrocellulose lacquer in 1969 by my Dad, he also did the interior. In fact he did everything on the car. It has a 1965 Vette fuelie motor and 4spd trans. Dean

Thanks for the kind words. Helps keep me motivated to sit in the hot garage and weld all weekend.

Here is an older photo - a trip along Hwy1 about 2 years ago.
I've made lots of changes since then. Lots of slicing and dicing to refine the shape I'm after. Therefore it has not been out in public much lately, but I'm working on getting it back together.

  25. After owning two ProStreet Rods ('36 Ford 2 dr slantback & '39 Willys 4 dr sedan both powered by 406 SBC) I decide to get a more streetable rod. Our '39 Chevy coupe is powered by a 350 SBC/Turbo 350 and has a 10 bolt posi with highway gears. It has a Nova clip. It has molded rear fenders & custom side hood panels. It is painted Mustang orange.

My '40 deluxe coupe, the shell still resplendent in what remains of the original paint.
GMC 292 inline six, Muncie, nine inch, Nova clip. Mild chop, 1 1/2" at rear, 2" at front.
