Technical 1939 Buick Coupe Hot Rod

    Hello guys,
    I have 39 Buick Coupe that some one has made a mess of a few things and i need some help because im a bodyman and not a mechanic They put a power brake unit on it and pedal through fire wall and the pedal is way to high What can i do?this is just the beginnin g of the issues It ha s SW gauges and speedo not hooked up no cable Wiring is incomplete but all new The rear suspension is crap to me But lets start with brake pedal Has all new brakes front disc ,stops good pedal just to high and way to much travel

    If you make the pedal longer your travel will get even longer so you will need to change your ratio(pivit point). Other option would be to move the whole assembly down.
     
  4. sounds like you will have to cut or bend something but without pictures we may not be able to help. Speaking of pedal ratio, I think 6 to 1 is the thing you want, but that is for drum brakes and the master cylinder under the floor, don't know if it holds true for your set up. post up more info.
