What you you all use for turn signals in a 1939 ford? Thanks Sent from my iPad using The H.A.M.B. mobile app
Use a 7 wire turn signal switch. Make the park lites just turn lites. Tail lite sockets will work as is after FOLLOWING the WIRING DIRECTIONS you get with the new signal switch.
If you're using a GM column, the following may help. Decades ago I had single-filament parking lights on the front of my Model-A. I wired the turn signals to that same filament and used diodes to prevent the turn signal from feeding back into the parking light circuit. I don't remember what column I used but the brake light circuit passed thru the directional switch. If no directional was on the brake lights worked normally. If directions were on, the brake light signal on that side would be blocked and that filament would flash. If Crazy Steve responds to this, pay very close attention. He is wise.
Rear turn signal light filament should be the brake light filament, a seven wire switch turns the brake light power off when turning the direction light on so it can then flash the bright filament
