Fellas, I know there are a lot of you out there that love these old flatheads. I have a 322 cui on the '39 LaSalle Opera coupe and I wanted to know where I can find a set of water outlets that come off the heads toward the radiator. Thanks!!!

  4. The base plate looks serviceable. Why not repair them by replacing the tube? Looks like you were half way there.

Just make a new set , use the old base plate and get new tubing . All they did with the stock ones was silver solder them together .

Thanks fellas....I tried bending the tubing, sand mandrel method, you name it. .065" wall thickness and I had the pipe kept kinking on me. I just ordered a set through Coopers Vintage...

I have a 1947 Chevy Aerosedan like my avatar but nowhere close to finished. I have the '39 LaSalle coupe too about ready to roll after I am done with the brakes and replacing the water outlets. I was going to make the water outlets out of stainless steel but decided to go back to stock.

40 Fleetline? First year of a Chevrolet Fleetline was 1941. I live in French Valley, right off Winchester 79N. Stop by sometime...my brother lives in Hemet.

I created a website called chevybombs.com for all vintage "bombs', 1954 and before. You'll note that our genre comprises of mostly OG (original) and lowered...join in and sign up for free under the Forum. Thanks.
