Hot Rods 1940-1941 Ford Truck Door Glass Question

My 41 does not have the steel frame around the door glass.

I'm sure that I have seen pics of 40 trucks with a frame around the glass.

Did the 1941 model come with frames, and mine is just missing?

My 41 is just glass, no frame Bell Glass in Phoenix has the patterns for the door glass, and he never mentioned anything about a frame

 

My '40 had the steel frames around the door windows. I believe that was a strength thing because the side windows were just plate glass. They are not necessary now. I did not put them back in when I rebuilt my truck.

 

42 and up had steel frames
