Here is my 48 plymouth club coupe from stock to where it is now. 3.5" chop in front laid out 6 in back. 40 ford split rear window, molded lakes, hand fabricated skirts, 47 buick grill, hand made headlight pockets, shaved trim and handles, 49 cad front bumper, 51 cad rear bumper. little bit custom. :D

WOW, your Plymouth just looks so tough . . . . . like angry tough I suspect when it is running it will have a bark to it and people will jump out of its way from fear of being bitten, GRRR.

As i said in your thread, i love the back window treatment you have done, just finishes it off totally. ;)

Thanks Hemiken. I wanted that angry face and strong powerful stance. I think it worked out. I really wanted to split window and at first hadn't come across one. So I had first installed the stock rear window. Then after it was welded in place I stumbled across one. Go figure had to do it all over again. But so worth it. It will be getting headers and 2.25" pipes back to glasspacks. Plus the lakes are gonna be hooked up and set up for the flamethrowers. Give it a little more attitude.

What do you mean by 6 window ?

It was strange in 1940, Mopar only released there line up of cars , Chrysler, DeSoto, Dodge and Plymouth (Coupes of course) were only released as 5 window coupes, 3 window coupes came in 1941. When counting windows on a car, you never refer to the front windshield, and if it has a split rear window, that is still counted as one window but you can refer to it as a split rear window when explaining how many windows a certain kind of car has.

Here is my mostly stock 47 Chrysler Royal CC, she was a real basket case, I did all the fix up, my 1`st , not great but okay. I need to do all chrome and bright work, when I hit the lottery, interior is all new, but need a headliner, and different carpet kit. Some pics

I just found this 48 Dodge 3 window and had to buy it. I like the look of j hansens coupe with the chop and may try something similar.

Hey Scotty T, i love how you have incorporated other year model parts in to your build brutha, i am doing the same thing with some of my on going builds also, just a little bit of different Mopar parts from different Mopar years helps spread the LOVE.

  30. i can't take credit for the work, only the concept. i found a young man who can take my idea and make it happen. he's quite impressive! and a much better fabricator than me:D
