    Is there a manual?

Do most people use rivets or bolts?

Do you ***emble the bed first, then attach to the subrails?

    Rich,
I have a 10' long table that is 44" wide. It came in handy for the ***embly of the box kit I bought from Northern Cl***ic Truck. My buddy Ernie (pictured here) and I started with the subframe up side down and hung the side panels, using Clecos. I replaced the temporary fasteners with oval head screws and nuts, throughout the fitment and mounting. The plan is to utilize the steel rivets supplied with the kit, for an original look. Note the last photo, after the tailgate was fitted to our satisfaction, I welded the lower rear seams. I really don't remember if the kit came with instructions, I probably wouldn't have followed them anyway ! IMG_3598.JPG IMG_3599.JPG IMG_3693.JPG

Used small Allen head bolts with lock nuts on mine. IMG_20180810_203048340.jpg

So this entire steel and wood bed subframe is built onto the bed as a unit, and then installed on the truck?

Marty...Nice that the supplier included rivets with the bed kit!
I did an exhaustive search for mine, finally found some nice tooling, as well.
The machining-then-hardening process seemed a little 'excessive'...

    Thanks!

    Any more tips?

Some of these bed kits came with instructions... not mine :(

Why wood? Wouldn't a steel platform for the bed be easier, last longer, be stronger and look hot roddier?
