Hi guys, have a quick question about my pickup. I am having some front end problem with steering and king pins a bit dodgy. i was wondering if anyone on here can lead me in the right direction what some people are using front clips out of for these trucks so i can get clear of the old type and try and make the front steering and suspension a little more modernized and safer for me. thanks.

I have a 40 chevy pu. I chose to rebuild the front suspension...all steering components, king pins etc and adapted disc brakes. I had new main leafs made to lower the truck significantly as well. I wanted to keep it a straight axle, but I'm pretty sure Fatman sells a mustang II setup that is designed for the frame. I would start there if you don't want to rebuild the stock axle.

I have already have the disc conversion and new front leafs but i keep having trouble with my steering locking up with the way the steering knuckle is and also the king pins being replaced 2 times in the last 3 years. im opting for a newstyle front end just wondering if there is any car/ truck that i can use the front clip of of insted of buying one from the states and getting it shipped to newfoundland.

I have a 39 1/2 ton and it has a Nova front clip and it rides and handles rear well. We have driven it for over 90k miles and have not had any issues. The 68/72 works best as it has the rear steer.
