Hey guys, can someone do me a favor and measure the inside diameter of a 40 wheel, as if the center section had been removed.

As it's impossible to find 16x5 wheel hoops to drop some centres into, I plan on getting some 16" wheels I have narrowed. But i dont have the '40 wheels yet to make sure they are the same size internally.

I have attached a picture in case this makes no sense.. 42-48fordsteel16in-1.jpg

    Thanks in Advance

You probably already know this but Ford did have 16x5's. Mine are from an F1 truck. Might be less of a headache to just find a pair instead of making them?

Yeah, that's true, but once found and shipped to Australia, the cost starts to ad up. Not to mention our registration requirement to have safety beads on wheels.

Went out to the garage and checked one. 13 5/8 would be a "tight" measurement, done with a tape measure (not scientific). This was a '40 wheel measurement taken from the back side.
