Technical 1940 ford and merc the same?

are glass the same shape? does anyone know fir sure?

Check with this guy. Very knowledgeable. He cuts all kinds of old car glass from patterns. Just up the 91 from you.

It might be but the Merc was a bigger car. I know when we restored my 51 Ford woody the car has Lincoln glass in it and it’s correct for the car.

 

not sure, if they are the same shape, but they do use the same seal for the back glass.

 

They look similar. Knowing Ford, I'd wager they interchange. L

If you need glass, why not get new windows cut?

 

windshield and rear glass is in. wiring is 80%...getting close.

 

Actually, Classic Auto buys his glass already cut to fit. I buy quite a bit and the last batch still has stickers on from Pakistan
