Hey guys. I found this picture under the seat when I bought it. It says "this is what is looked like the day I bought it in 1931." The dad was original owner, in 70's the son and dad turned it into a hot rod and that is the current state of the pickup beside the roll over. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1390841972.437565.jpg

Cool pics and history! Consider straightening out the cab and running it with fenders and Cragars like the way it was built 40 years ago, neat time capsule.

Thanks everyone for your comments. Another thing I found out was that the 1940 cab and frame I got originally was a Helms bakery truck. For those that don't know, Helms bakery was big in California, they had trucks that would drive around like a ice cream truck selling pastries, bread, ect. The cab was beige and blue with a service number on it. Kinda cool.

Does a 30/31 coupe cowl fit the 31 pickup cab?

It's kind of a yes and no answer,

it's not a bolt on and go body section, the top door hinge is in a different spot on a coupe cowl compared to a 2 door sedan and pickup

So a 2-door sedan and pick up have the same cowl?

2-door sedan and pick up,AA truck cabs and sedan delivery (has one rear door) are the same cowl and doors

5 window coupe, sports coupe and panel delivery (has 2 rear doors) the cowl will inter change

  12. For the love of god man, fix the A stuff you have! Do a course, read a book on metal repair, at least TRY. If you are going to run away from such little work as that maybe you would be better off with a Nissan, some pretty stickers and a barn door on the boot lid.
    Honestly man, at least try.

To me it looks like a easy fix,

Parts I see you need a drivers side door and a door top section for the p***anger side door

The back of the cab looks like it pulled away or bent/ broke the lower mounting the bracket that rivet to door latch post, subrail and eat risor together

On the cowl/windshield post I would drill out the spot weld from the gas tank bead line all the way up to the top and remove the outer skin and straighten the inner post and then weld the outside skin back on

Model A are easy to fix, you just need to study how they were built
