A guy is looking for a 40 column. Friend has a very nice one-all shift levers etc (no box or shaft) and the drop is also very nice and functions as it should. Has orig Hurd keys and the switch ohms out great-haven't bought one in years--he wants $275--I think decent price. Maybe I'll buy it and add to my stash if guy doesn't come thru. I have bought many maybe $125-150 but had to rebuild column drop, switch etc. Thank you

  2. That's probably a fair price, Tim, all things considered in the world today.

Key word there is, today. I'm feeling good about the one that I bought back in the twenty 00's.

Well, they are not making any more. OTOH, I expect the demand is down as we hot-rodders age into the sunset. It's worth what you pay for it depending on how badly you need it.If you are old enough to be retired, how much of a stash do you need for future projects. Maybe someone could use it now?

True enough--really don't need any more stuff stashed. Got too much now!

Just looked--I guess the column drop rebuild kits are no longer available either-glad I got a couple left. Found one so far

Forgot I had one too in the attic-happens when you get old and forgetful. Been up there maybe 12+ yrs. Reall good one too-switch works perfect, all shiny stuff very nice--has switch pieces too--ohmed out great. Think guy is gonna buy the other one. All good-this one stays. My friend has one too-wants me to redo for him-he has the parts too. Did a few for him over the years.
