1940 Ford Convertible. Solid body with original floors. Was told it was California body but I bought the car locally. The body is very original and mostly unmolested. Has had a few minor patches installed lower quarter and tailpan area. Paint is 50 year old lacquer which has some checking but still looks good for its age. Car has very nice chrome and glass. Interior done to match original design. Top canvas is older but still in good shape and fully functional, it fits the car. Engine is a 1955 Corvette 265 that has likely been in the car longer than the flathead was. It has a rochester 4 jet carb Runs good. Dual stainless exhaust with glass packs has a nice mild rumble. We drove this car from Akron to Columbus goodguys and several other shows with no issues. Front axle and Shocks from Pete and Jake's with reverse eye spring. Reverse eye spring in the rear. Diamondback Auburn radials all around make the car ride well especially for such a lowered stance. Brake cylinders are all new and car stops and handles well. This car gets alot of looks and compliments wherever we take it. What I love most about this car is of course cruising top down but especially on a warm summer night with my bluetooth radio playing some tunes, there is just nothing cooler. Car goes down the road great and it is surprisingly very quiet with the top down. Quiet enough to have a conversation without having to raise your voice or listen to some music. One of my all time favorites, hard car to let go.. Thanks for looking
