HELP!!!!!! My 40's Hurst is worn out.....I have another new shifter ( Hurst # 3915403) box on the way.....Spent some time on my back under the stock frame looking at the B W T10(410) before ordering......Pretty tight under there!!!!! Can't reach anything.....Do I remove the BIG bolted plate between the frame? What about the suspension bars that are ALSO BOLTED TO THE PLATE.....Any assistance will be helpful

might be easier to remove the stock trans cover and work part of the removal from the top. I made mine removable from the top except for the unhooking the shift rods from the trans.

there is some force on the split wishbones; I'd take the car weight off the front suspension. When you remove the wishbone attachments they will spread apart

On mine I have to remove the wishbones and the plate. Then jack the tranny up to get to the top bolt on the shifter, a real pain in the ass but when I'm banging gears it's all worth it.
