1940 Ford Coupe Build thread on here The story i have off the seller it was bought new in California by a Japanese American. Then in 1942 he was put into an interment camp during WW2. It was then parked for over 50yrs and ended up in Wisconsin. It then went to Iowa and then I bought it 2 years ago. I have the name of the original owner from 1940. All steel original paint and totally rust/filler free. Just been machine polished Has been totally stripped to a bare ch***is and rebuilt. I have loads of pictures of the build. Flathead V8 rebuilt and modified T5 5speed gearbox(new clutch) Ford 9” axle (3.50 ratio) 28 spline 4 link rear (oddrod customs) Custom front end (oddrod customs) Coilovers all round (GAZ Gold) Manual steering Smiths gauges Complete new interior just finished New gl*** and seals New wiper motor 12v wiring New wheels/tyres Basically the whole car has been gone through from top to bottom. Underneath the floors and wings have been cleaned of dirt then zinc primed, etch primed, stone chipped, gloss black. Fair to say it should easily last another 70+yrs.
