1940 ford question

    quick question about a 1940 ford 4 door. looking to buy a 1940 4 door....i want to take the body off and replace it with a pickup body will the fenders and grill all line up exc. thanks hambers

    I want to buy a 4 door,, and keep it a 40 4 door..


    for your info.. i think truck fenders mount differently to the cowl.. I doubt that the hood will line up with the cowl as i think the cowls are different.
    running boards, rear fenders are different..
    frame is the same..

    sounds like you'd be buying a use able frame, and perhaps a grille (maybe..) good luck

    I have never done it, but I recall this being asked in the past over on Fordbarn and folks there saying it can be done, but quite a lot of work...

    The truck fenders and hood are different than the deluxe and standard p***anger car,,,HRP

  8. The horizontal bead on the truck parts are TOTALLY different than the p***enger cars.
