I was online searching a few of the cars my dad had built and came across a blog about his 40 ford chopped by my dad Carlie springer himself in our backyard, carson top, silver n white originally. that was sold to a couple in little canada mn. His name is Carlie Springer and had built many I am sure u have seen!!! Ridiculous that ppl that don't do the work themselves get the credit it was featured in a book with author last name of keys when it was still silver n white when we owned it!! He has now a 47 merc full custom carson top if u have been to back to the the 50s(had it up there the next year) he's always on the corner of cooper n randall by the wings trailor msra shirt stand!!! Thx for listening it for me has been a chance to vent!!!
My dad carlie springer of frontenac mn built this car, paid $150.00 for it chopped it himself in our back yard. The front fenders were widened 2 inches on each side and it was chopped 7 inches, it was painted monte carlo cortez silver, and put camaro running subframe. We still owned it when it was in mike keys book at back to the 50's. We now have (and took up a year after we sold the 40) a 47 merc with a carson top and he has had many more customs...its really sad when the builder does not get the credit they deserve. P.S.. they gooked up this car!!!
