My good friend, who is not computer literate, has asked me list his beautiful '40 std. coupe for him. This is a coupe that had been owned by another Florida family since 1953, was restored (frame off) and upgraded around 1988-89 and driven for a while prior to being stored in central Florida until Ted purchased the coupe in 2015. He replaced the gas tank, the radiator, the brakes and a few other small items to improve the reliability and the overall appearance of the car. The vehicle has been converted to twelve volts. It has a 1948 59AB flathead that had been rebuilt by the previous owner which starts easily and performs very well. The transmission and rear are stock 40 units. The tires are all new from Coker and are 600-16's in a radial design mounted on a set of beautiful '35 wires. The odometer shows 91000 miles. The mohair interior is a replacement from Lebaron Bonney and is in like new condition. The gauges in the dash cluster have been bypassed with 12 volt units from Stewart Warner that are located under the dash as seen in the below pictures. The coupe is currently registered and is driven weekly to local events. Ted has many of the old records for the rebuild and repairs from the previous owner and a repair manual. He also has all of his receipts for the various parts and upgrades that he did. This vehicle is available at $32,000 in as shown as is condition. He will accept cash only, no western union, Walmart transfers or other quirky transactions. For more detailed information you may call Ted between 10 am and 8pm daily at 352-seven four 2 10 four six.
