^^^ that is a 40 standard and a 40 deluxe. And those are not the same as you can see. But a 39 deluxe and 40 standard are very similar. I have been told that they interchange and I have been told that the fenders are slightly different so the hood don’t meet quite the same so they interchange but don’t exactly swap one for one. So I’m not 100% sure. But I’m am 100% sure that @olscrounger knows the truth.
^^^this is true^^^ I once used a 39 Deluxe hood on a 40 Standard build. See my aviator. Car is a street rod with a custom latch and I filled some trim holes. Basic sheetmetal geometry as well as the hinge mounts are the same.
