I was tearing down a set of 1940 Ford front drum brakes and was curious about whether the brake shoes would be reusable. They seem like they have some good meat left, but was hoping for some more experienced opinions. I also thought the Authorized Reconditioner sticker was cool. Was curious if those could help date the last legit rebuild. Thanks as always.

I just recently sold a rebuilt 37 v8 60 engine that had that same rebuild sticker.... I was told it was a sticker used in the early 50s but am not sure.

I'd use 'em. Any oil or brake fluid spots, boil in baking soda & sand lining flat & smooth.

As long as those come clean, I'd use them. They aren't even broke in yet.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I think I'm going to go the easy route and buy a new set. These will end up in the cl***ifieds once I tear the other one down.
