In need of a replacement manual master cylinder with the pushrod and was hoping someone could help identify this model. The pushrod appears to be locked into the piston and not removable. The Coupe has Mustang II suspension up front, with GM calipers. Rear is a Ford 8 inch with drum brakes. I piston bore is one inch. Thanks for your****istance.

but you can explore the same source, rockauto.com, with whatever ideas you can come up with to compare to.

Some of the pushrods are held in with a rubber ring, some with a metal clip, It takes some force to get them out. They are like that to prevent the pushrod falling out, with manual brakes.

often casting numbers on master cylinders are not as useful as you hope they would be, since they are from an unknown company. But you can give it a try...maybe you'll get lucky?

Thanks Jim. I found the same one on ebay. It sure does look the same, minus the pushrod. Shows its from a 72 to 76 Ford F250 RWD single piston caliper.

that's the application for the one I found above, too.

you might try clamping the pushrod in a vise and try to pry the master cylinder away from it, see if it pops out.
