Projects 1940 merc...custom

I found this 1940 Merc here on Hamb a few months back..well my son and.i finally cracked it open..
It has its share of rot/rust but having been down this path is very familiar territory for us. We try to hit it every Saturday, so here are like 5 days worth.So here a few pics of the progress,enjoy..first pic is of car.leaving its Iowa home heading to So Cal.

 

Frontend, rearend,trans are not needed. If anyone needs it..

 

5 days and that's looking great..plans for the coupe..?..

I Noticed you got rid of the rear end and suspension I am in the process of doing the same thing to 1940 mercury coupe I recently purchased. What rear end are you installing on your merc? Thanks

Here is a update with HAMB friendly mods..chopped and pleased with results.

 

Yeah man!!! Looking forward to this build.
