1940 Mercury coupe

1940 Mercury coupe project
purchased in January from the son of the same owner since 1963 ,car had been sitting since then.(in garage up until last year when owner p***ed away, then briefly in barn) Car came with ***le from 1963, I recently went through all the legwork to get car transferred into my name to make sale of car smoother(***le in my name is in my possession 8/21/23)

Rust free, original floorpans, pretty much has all the 40 merc specific hard to find parts including the front and rear seats,, car rolls and steers great, brakes do not work, now has 9” ford rear end with 3:08 gears, WEEDETR parallel leaf spring kit, great chevy 283 with a turbo 350 trans mounted using ch***is engineering motor mounts champion radiator, new wiring harness needing installed, trans cooler lines gas pedal and lokar column shift conversion , I’m working on it all the time to get it on the road but this is a project
car has 15 " steelies with firestones currently. but i do have included the original 16" steelies & merc hubcaps ( no tires)
car has frame stamp and mercury firewall body number tag matching the ***le.
