It's funny how quick these cars and parts go. Sedan is sold before it even gets here and the front end is going with it. And of course My good friend Elgringo on got dibs on the freebie front seat! Thanks for all your help Elgringo. I need another project like I need a hole in the head but I'll keep the coupe and truck cab for as long as I can, willys yard art is always nice.
WOW, you knocked that coupe back into shape in no time flat. I'd have spent months to get it half way to where you did
The seats do look nice. I have zero experience with Willys (aside from owning an MB in the past). Why are they so valuable and hard to come by? What does a set of seats like that run usually? What is the value of the items you picked up, just for future reference if I come across any.
I was meaning the value of the Willys cars/trucks, too. In case I see some out and about, I'd like to know their relative value so I know whether to pick them up or not.
I don't like to brag or seem like a ***** but I only paid a few thousand for the lot. A person could easily say I "stole" them. If you see a Willys anywhere, pick it up!
I bought my 38 sedan back in the late 80's for 450.00 dollars but there was no frame, after I finally found a frame that was an other 450.00 so my total cost when I found it all was 900.00 bucks. The frame I found was out of a 41, so it was the wrong size for the 38, so had find the earlier frame and man did I luck out there, an older lady in Wyoming had a 37 sedan in her yard and wanted it gone, Price was right, if I came and got it I could have the whole car she just wanted it gone. There was no suspension under the car, so I had to load it on a boat trailer by myself which was to bad, boat trailer are low to the ground so I got the front up on the trailer and used some pipe to roll it on the rest of the way. She watched me from her house and when I was done I pulled over to her house, I wanted to give her something for it but she said no I'm just glad you came and got it. Oh ya she had cookies and ice tea waiting for me when I got to the house, she said she couldn't believe I got it loaded by myself, and she thought I could use the refreshments. Totally cool lady, I thanked her after chatting for a while and was on my way home. I would like to find a pickup cab but I'll bet it's going to cost me more the what I have in my sedan. Would love to have the cab you have drumyn29, but I got a feeling it going to be way more then I have.
DRUMYN29, in the background of a lot of your photos there are some neat cars, if i'm not being too nosey would you list your collection?

The blue piece looks like a 41-42 fire wall and front section because the windshield wiper holes are under the Windshield not above.
The later vehicles (41-42) have a taller Windshield opening. I believe that it is 1" taller but it might be 2" A friend of mine once ordered gl*** for his car but it was too tall and they had to cut it down. His car was a 40.
Can someone get us a measurement on the windshield height on a 37-40 Willys. They are all the same and a 41-42 Willys they are the same.
Thanks for the information Jay. Hopefully someone can get a windshield height measurement for a 41-42 or if not I will ask a friend that has one.
The 41-42 coupes and trucks are the same windshield height as the 37-40 coupes, trucks, and sedans. The 41-42 sedans had a larger/taller gl*** windshield, as well as a longer sedan body with rear quarter windows and unique rear fenders.
Thanks for the information fsteddie. Maybe the windshield that my friend got was for a 41-42 sedan. I was aware of the different rear fenders and the additional quarter windows on the later sedans.
