Hi, I am new to the forum and have a 1940 Willys Coupe.

I am wondering were I can get front suspension and brake parts?

    Front brake wheel cylinders?
    Front axle King Pins?
    Front Leaf Spring Bushings?

I would like to keep it all original but would change to newer style spindles and brakes if needed.

    Thanks, Jonathan

    Jonathan,

Contact Rod Ladley (The Willys Man) at (610) 584-1665 210 Stone Rd. Barto, PA 19504-9332 He has a lot of NOS parts so he'd be a good source.

You might want to think generic old parts. Spring bushings are sized by their diameter and length. A truck spring shop might have some. They may or may not have an old catalog with a listing but may be able to come up with a match for what you have.

We used to buy wheel cylinder cups by the box. Again the only critical measurement is the diameter.

King pins and bushing are probably make and year specific.

Ok, thank you everyone. I called Rod, he is going to call me back later. Willys Replacement Parts is closed unitl 11-9-2009. I emailed the other guy and he hasnt replied yet.

Is there any spindles or brakes off another vehicle that are a bolt on?

    Thanks Again

I have the Charlie Stephens plans plus the parts listing for a disc brake kit on the original Willys axle - courtesy of another Hamber. I also have the pricing from NAPA. PM me your address and I'll send you a copy.

The wheel cylinders and shoes are interchangable with WW2 Jeep parts and available from any spe******t.
Kingpins bushes etc are different to the Jeep though.
