1941 Chevy Coupe - Rebuilt 235 with dual Webers and split Fenton exhaust manifolds, full back dual system with Turbo muffler that give a nice mellow tone. The transmission is rebuilt Borg Warner T5 from a V6 S10 IIRC. Properly set up with the S10 tailshaft, relocated speedo gear, and a Hurst shifter. The rear end is from a 56 Chevy. It was professionally rebuilt and set up with new gears, bearings, and seals. The original rear leaf springs were replaced with the proper updated wider non-torque tube leaf springs and a tube shock conversion. The car has a new wiring harness installed by the previous owner, and it has been converted to a GM 1 wire alternator. The engine has electronic ignition, and is cooled by a new aluminum radiator. The previous owner also installed a manually operated cooling fan, although I don't know why because I've NEVER had to use it. The car runs perfectly cool. Rims where converted to standard chevy 5 lug wheels, and the tires are wide radials with less than 5000 miles on them. The engine had new belts and hoses installed when the engine was built. The existing except for the oil gauges work, and that's because the old oil pressure gauge only went up to 15 or 20lbs. The new mechanical Borg Warner oil pressure gauge shows a strong 40lbs of pressure. The engine runs strong and burns no oil. The previous owner installed a horrible looking mid-80s GM truck steering wheel, but I have the original wheel that will come with the car. This car is UNRESTORED, as found, except of the mechanical upgrades. It has the original upholstery and headliner, but it's not in the greatest shape. The door panels are frayed at the edges, the seat upholstery is torn, and there are a few tears in the headliner, but it's all there. Back seat is in very good shape because it has a 50s seat cover that doesn't ever looked to have been removed. Floor has a few minor (1/2" wide x 3" long) rust holes, but it generally very solid. The frame is rock solid, although it has surface rust. The trunk is solid as well. The inner rockers are rusted through, and will need to be replaced, as is the middle body mount, but that's a relatively easy repair. The car starts, runs, drives, and stops reliably. CT does not title cars over 20 years old, so I do not have a title. I will provide an official State of CT bill of sale with my name and address, a copy of the current registration, and a copy of a letter from CT DMV stating CT's title policy. TRADES? Ok, I've had a few offers of trades, even though the ad says "no trades".
