Projects 1941 chevy super deluxe

I just got a 1941 chevy special deluxe and want to update the suspension and brakes I would like to stay close to stock on the suspension but is that a good idea can the updates hep to make the car stable at todays higher speeds 75mph+ any ideas or websites that can help I need all the info I can get as for brakes front disks for sure

 

My '41 was updated to 50's 5 lug drums, that said likely could also be updated using one of the 50's disk kits as well.
I decided to use a more modern suspension, since it will not be seen unless on a lift.
