Well I am new to coe's but I love them and just bought a 1941 I need to finish a couple of projects but I will start on making a car hauler out of it as soon as I can. I was looking for the vin number I t was not on the glove box door like I have heard but there is a plate behind the grill in the upper driver side corner it is hard to read but I believe it is a vin plate but the vin number seems odd it is stamped MFM can anyone help me with this... I will look for anything else but for now that's all I could find

I had the same issue. I have a 43 ford coe andI found the vin on the forward most cross member. So thats below the radiator, on drivers side and its on the lowest part of the cross member lip and on the forward part. I had my radiator out all ready and I could read mine looking straight down to floor but took some 80 grit to un cover it. Was no way to see it with surface rust until sanded. about 1/4" digits.
There is supose to be some on frame under driver position but I never found them. I think the tag your looking at on the fire wall is the Patent tag.
    Hope that helps.
