Got a little more time last weekend. Finished the upper air deflector (spray can f'ing wrinkled on the top panel), under coated the lower 2 piece panel, lowered the float in the carb and adjusted the hood latch. Started the truck and the rigid fan sounds fine, almost back on the road. Found a NORS Stant radiator cap.....test drive next weekend.
I forgot to take pics, but I found some inserts from McMaster to attach the upper panel I made. They have a serrated edge that you push into (like a lug stud) the panel. I also cut out a small portion above where the latch hooks to, pushed it up and re welded it to raise the area. It made the hood latch adjustable with different size shims. Inserts: Lower hood latch cut out area: I made some shims to go under the grille support and on top of the latch to push it down.
Thanks Scott. Truck is cooling better whether it's the re-cored radiator or all the paneling, I'm happy.
