  1. Wow,dude! You are awesome and Uber-lucky at the same time! I just wish I could pick up anything pre-72 for under $200. I've found that getting the money as a 16-year-old is only half the battle- finding a candidate is really hard around where I live (NW Ohio).

By the way, how many engines do you have?
It seems like every few posts you mention another one!

I had fun, but Friday night my '71 AMC Javelin SST refused to run. Found the Tach wire fron the distributor was shorted out. It was a sweet sound when the 401 came to life and roared. I'm not sure that when you have 3000 cars and 75 trophies, that anyone has much of a chance to win. I've gone to event with 800 cars and there are more trophies than that. It's a costly trip for no chance to win unless you are a trailer queen.

I love this car. Apparently we think alot alike!!!! I have 5 rattle cans of an almond white color I was going to use to throw some scallops on mine temporarily till I paint the whole thing. I never thought about the rear wheel well scallops they make the non'radius'd opening look awesome. My 47 Plymouth has the same thing going on!!

So I'm assuming you got all the engine gremlines take care of??? Did you decide to do away with the tunnel ram for good then?

Fantastic. Keep it up but go to college too! I am twice your age with similar dad! Figure out a way to get him involved. My dad was a professional mechanic and has zero patience. He misses out because I am not the best mechanic and make conservative individuality I mean hot rod choices that he would not make. So there is less bonding with the kids and me. He is missing out. My flathead six Plymouth is awesome and my kids are proud to go drag racing with our beast. So half of our Plymouth is wrenching on it and the other half is convincing grandpa to come along. He enjoys it when he comes so its worth it. Damned, its like pulling teeth though........and I am an accountant!. Bitchen car.

Oh the engine gremlins are fierce at work! I cant keep this thing from throwing belts. I think the thrust face on the rear main bearing is worn out from the RPM i turn this thing. Thats what i get for my cheapy motor. Neighbor kid just gave me a 350 motor that was rebuilt so i think that might end up in the car soon. I have alot of work i wanna do it it. Tunnel ram is probably going bye-bye. It was on in that video, but its off right now. I think a standard dual quad is gonna go on. Give that a try for a while. I also want exhaust and mufflers on the car so thats gonna happen too. Havent driven it in like 4 months.
