1946 Ford rear parallel leafs

Discussion in 'New to the H.A.M.B.? Introduce yourself here!' started by nosford, Feb 7, 2011.

  1. Hey all, I am new to the HAMB and new to Fords of the 40's. I have read several postings about installing rear leafs in a 1946 ford sedan, several mentions of using Chrysler springs or even Falcon springs. Want to grow my own, don't want to buy a kit if I can help it. Also, anyone try to install a 302 with a three speed and keep the original column shift? Thanks, Mark,

  4. Sorry I posted in the wrong place?? Have several different cars, 1963 Studebaker Lark Daytona original 4 speed disc brake Dana 44 car, 1965 Falcon Futura wagon 289 3on the tree, 1959 ford F100 351w, 1966 Mustang Convert owned for 41 years. The newest project a 1946 Ford 2 door sedan with original everything but needs everything! It's never gonna be a cherry original ever so I want to have some fun, everything else I have done (except the truck) have been more like restorations. This thing will most likely end up flat black and modified! Glad to be part of the group.
