I can easily get the helmet off and get out of the truck.
I thought we might have to build something that would move out of the way. PXL_20240816_150118086.jpg

Can you do the bail-out without taking the helmet off?

Yes, but it's easier without the helmet.

As long as you're safe while in it and can get out safely and quickly if needed.

    Right!
I exited a few times and I'll practice more before next July. That will be testing at Loring.

Some time ago I asked a Bonneville/El Mirage tech about bail out requirements. Her response was that it didn't have to be pretty just as long as you can exit the car in an emergency.

I'm looking for Deist arm restraints. Who carries them?

  22. It's weird it looks like you can buy stuff directly from Deist but the link for arm restraints doesn't load on their website. Did you try calling them directly?

    Hi Marcia
The best arm restraints to use are made by Auto Power since the SCTA rule changed outlawing the welded style many of us have purchased the ones offered by Auto Power. An added bonus Auto Power runs a Land Speed so buying their stuff helps support another racer.

  30. The battery was even made in August! It was destined to be at Bonneville!
