I've had this 1946 Standard 4-8A since 1977. That must be some kind of record for not finishing a project. Disassembled but complete except for some of the stock engine parts and the grille. The rust you see on it is just surface. I would guess value would be similar to an Anglia but the Anglias I see for sale are either already gassers or are in much worse shape. Last picture is not my car, just what one looks like put together. Any thoughts on value?
They,re cute . They are named as Flying Eight, There was also a Flying Nine and a Flying Ten. I had one of those little Eights 20 odd years ago. Probably even lighter than the similar Anglia. I allways liked the swageline that went just under the side windows, up the front pillar and along the roof to the rear ( no roof gutter ) . Really lend themselves to a twotone paint scheme. How about a MGB base underneath , just to keep it British . Over here probably worth no more than 900 euro . In old Blighty a few hundred quid. BTW, they had a really cool mascot on the top of the grille with wings and a red enamal 8 cast in.
