Technical 1947 chevy bussines coupe

    Is it a good idea to cut the front coils and to take out some rear leaf springs to lower the car. if it is how much can i cut from the coil with.out messing them up and how many leaf springs can i take out ??? Thank u. \m/ hamb gods \m/

    You can shorten the coils as much as you want but as far as lowering the back by only removing leafs that's a bad idea use lowering blocks or shackles, if you remove leafs you will cause the rear end to bottom out and twist on hard acceleration, not safe. You can remove a couple leafs and put air bags over them but always leave at least 3 any less and causes safety issues and problems

    Thank u pontiac guy I want to lower it as much as i can from the front the back im gonna use 3 inch lowering blocks

    No problem just keep an eye on the camber in the front and when the a arm's are gonna bottom out. Should look good! Post pics when you get er done!
