I recently got a 1947 dodge sedan with suicide doors for a rat rod project. The care is over all in good shape and solid. I am looking for advice from any Mopar builders who can point me in the right direction for parts. I am switching out the flathead for a old style 360 motor. I have been messing with bikes and wrenching my entire life, but this is a first hot rod I have messed with. So any advice on parts and putting the motor in would be great. Thanks you can also email me a squire8394@yahoo.com

    Welcome to the HAMB.

There are a few things you have to do.
Go make an introduction. You are in Ryan's little place and everyone here wants to know a little about you.
The term "rat rod" is bad news here, it probably won't get you any friends if you keep using the term around here.

Now, about your car, it is the same basic structure as any Mopar from 46-48 and much of its origins extend from the early 40s through the mid 50s. This is an era where a lot of information has already been shared here on the HAMB. Very little info has ever been deleted from the HAMB, and the little "search" button works pretty well. If you type in "46-48 Dodge" or "46-48 Plymouth", you should find enough topics and tech info to keep you reading for months. Really!

You will also find a lot of the guys that post on specific topics are often the guys that are experienced in that area. You can also search for topic a person has posted on, that may lead you to something your looking for. If you type in my user name, you will find I have been involved in many 46-48 Plymouth topics. Not that I'm smart, but more that I'm interested in this era cars and tend to post in these areas.

Most guys here get tired of posting the same information over and over. Read some of the already posted info, then ask specific questions if you don't find what you need.

    Good luck,
    Gene

Welcome Squire, 50dodge said it all as nice as I have ever seen it said. The trick to HAMB is to search, then ask specific questions.
